movies

Well... Ok, yeah, I kinda died... But it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be, so I came back alive and decided to blog. ^.^;

So, movies... I've seen a few since I last blogged about that and I figured I'd share.

HBP:
So, first on probably every one's list is "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince." Because... y'know... Harry Potter (and Twilight, but I won't get into that here other then to say Edward is awesome and Bella needs to go away) has taken over the world.
So guess who went to a midnight showing!!!? ^.^ Mwahahahahaaaa....
I went with Lola and I REALLY enjoyed the movie. I wasn't sure if I would or not. My basic thoughts on the movie were that it had awesome graphics, creepy dead people, and really nice skin. lol
Now... before you stone with rocks, mallets and magic fruit, it's been a really long time since I read the book. And I actually didn't like it that much from what I remember. I was rushing through it because of all of the hype, so that's part of it. But I remember thinking that it was just a bunch of boring relationship what-not. There was something about a memory, and the last hundred pages with the cave/horcrux stuff were really good. That's about all I remember.
So I liked it! So there!

Ice Age 3
Eh... Ok... It had no storyline to speak of, and the new guy... What's-his-face... the ferret with the eye patch that leads them through the world of dinosaurs... The annoying little know-it-all... He bugged.
Although I did think the animation was top-notch. Dreamworks has some amazing stuff ^.^ and I am really beginning to fan-girl over them like I do with Pixar stuff (although not so much with Pixar once they got bought by Disney... Could just be my imagination... dunno).
The best part of the movie was the Scratt stuff. <3 I simply ADORE that little buck-tooth squirrel. <3 <3 <3 He's my favorite part in the first two movies, and he's got a bigger role in this movie. <3 The female squirrel was... an interesting choice. Not sure how I feel about her. It was an interesting twist if nothing else. Although I think she ruined Scratt. Or at least ruined the reasons why I love the little guy. I love his never-ending search for his acorn. <3 Then when they add this strange love interest... I wasn't really sure how to take it.
I did however absolutely LOVE the scene with the acorn's love song to Scratt... ROFL That was just CLASSIC!! That was my favorite part in the whole movie. ^.^ That and the very end where Scratt chooses his true love at the end... *snikker* WE LOVE YOU SCRATT!!

So...
I know I had another movie I was gunna talk about...
OH!
Inkheart!!

I've blogged about my movie before (precccccccciousssssss....) and I'm gunna do it again! Take that!
Well, it finally came out on DVD. <3 I'm disappointed though... I love my movie, it's a great movie... But it didn't get much publicity at all... :'( I was watching (not quite) patiently for it to come out on DVD. I was watching and waiting, and I only heard about it because it said "Now on Demand" on one of our TV stations... O.O Wait... what? You mean it's OUT!!!...
So I ran over to Target (well... ok, by way of Borders) to buy it. <3
I'm the happy owner of the Inkheart DVD.
Which brings me to point two: There are practically NO special features on this movie...
The only thing is one of the actresses (the one who plays Meggie (and one of the kids on Nanny McFee I realized later)) reading the last page and a half of the book... That's it... No behind the scenes, no director's commentary, no author commentary... Makes for sad fan-girl...
And I was really looking forward to seeing some behind the scenes stuff 'cause the special effects on the movie are AMAZING! There's scenes of characters breathing fire, and the scene at the end with flying monkeys, unicorns, and a big smoke/fire creature that rivals the Balrog in Lord of the Rings... GR!
But... I have my movie... That's what counts... <3

(and looking at this post... My English skills have sunk WAY down... I do more net-speak then English... It's sad...)
