On adulthood

Well... since I just got wisdom teeth pulled and can't talk... I figured I'd post something that I've been thinking about lately.

What does it take to make an adult??

I'm at that funny little stage in my life where I'm still clinging onto childhood and all of its magic, yet circumstances and life in general are pulling me to become an adult... Rather scary... I don't deal well with change, and I certainly don't deal well with heading off into dark enigmas... *shudder* Not nice thoes enigma things...

Now, I've come to realize that it's not a sudden change... When you're in that pesky imbetween stage you have periods of childhood, and periods of adulthood. Never got that concept when I was younger... Just saw adults as these big powerful people who could do anything and knew just about anything.

Although maybe that's part of my problem?... I still kinda see adults as these amazing people, and I see little me who just barely learned to tie her shoes by herself and go "I'll never be there!! You can't make me!!! O.o" (well... ok, I learned to tie my shoes a month ago, but you get the idea. ^.~)

But even so, I'm not even sure what an adult is?... I mean, Ok, my parents... your parents... But when did they become adults??? I want a concreete timeframe dag-nabbit! >.< ... Like I said, I don't do well with enigmas... And adulthood is kinda a big one...

I don't think age has a very big part of it. A part yes, but not a terribly huge one. I know people who are 18 and 19, and going "OK! I'm an adult now! So you can't tell me what to do!!"
...
So I refuse to believe that age has that big of a part in it.

I do think it's the experiences that come with the age though... But again, which experiences... *sigh*

So yeah... those be my thoughts. ^.^; Comments?? Anyone??? Please????

New Product on the market!

I just got a notice from Apple.

Apparently they're coming out with a new product. They've already got the iPhone, iTunes, and iPods... Well, get ready for the latest and greatest!!

--------------------------
>.< Yeah... See, this is what I do when I have too much time on my hands...

This came because... well... I had too much time on my hands... But I was looking for jobs and was looking at Ihop. Well the site I was looking at typed it as ihop. Not a major difference, I to i...

But my first thought was "Oh, I wonder if that's related to an iPod at all??...." Which then led to a really funny picture in my head, which led to this...

^.^ Hope it gets a laugh outa ya'll!

Cell Phones

I LIIIIIIIVE!!!

Yeah... since I got done I've been really lazy lately... I don't have to, so I ain't gunna. Even for something as fun as blogging, I've been really lax... Bad Fei-chan, no biscuit...

Anywhoodle, I come to you today to talk about something near and dear to all our hearts... Or at least our fingers. Yes, all-mighty technology. Specifically the cell phone.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love my cell phone. I rarely leave home without it. It it attached to my arm and is used for things like keeping track of my schedule for me, telling me when someone I want to talk to is calling me, even when someone I don't want to talk to is calling me. I love my little phone.

But there are limits to my cellular love.

For example, I have mastered the ability to turn it OFF!

You laugh, but how many people have apparently lost this ability? You see them weaving through traffic, driving, while talking on the phone... You see them walking through the store, apparently talking to someone three rows over... And I even saw one talking on their phone while ice skating!...

Why?

Why do people feel the need to be attached at the hip, or rather ear, to the rest of the world? What in the world is so important it can't wait for you to at least pause what you're doing first?...

*sigh*

So... yeah... [/rant]

Oh, and watch the vid. ^.^

Magic Mountain!! >.<

Ok, I think I told all of you, I went to Magic Mountain for the first time in my life last Saturday. ^.^

Yes, first time... *waits for laughter and shock to fade* I didn't think I was a fan of huge rides, and each time I had the opportunity, I didn't take it for one reason or another. *shrug*

But anyway, I went and absolutely loved it!! >.<

So, Magic Mountain... Known the world over for its fast rides... And my first experience is a ferris wheel... Dare to be different! ^.~

While we were on the ferris wheel, I noticed a white coaster next to us. It had a small loop in it, but it looked fairly tame. So I asked about it and figured that that would be a good way to see if I liked all this or not.

That ride was "The Revolution." Very fun. ^.^ My first loop, and apparently the first looping coaster ever built (according to the map). So I thought that was interesting.

So after that I was ready for another. "Ok," I thought, "that was fun. Now I'm ready for something a litt more. Not too big, but a little bit." ... Well, the group decided where we were going, and not knowing names, maybe Goliath means something to you, but it didn't to me, I followed along. So I'm looking around and I see this.

Well, this is a picture from the parking lot, but you get the idea... So I saw the big one. Not the wooden white one with all the support beams, and not the tall skinny thing. The big, tall, up, down, sideways, 255 foot first drop into a 120-foot underground tunnel at 85mph one... That one...

So I'm looking at it, and I think. "Wow... That's big. I don't think I wanna go on that one quite yet, if ever. Hm... I think I'll ask *** what the name of that one is so we can avoid it."

So I asked...

"Oh, that's Goliath. That's where we're going next."

O.o;

Shoot me now... >.O

So somehow, they managed to get me on Goliath... Still not quite sure how... I was majorly freaked... Keep in mind, I've never been on anything like this. I'm just barely getting used to the fact that I'm at MM... I'm hoping to go on Bugs Bunny World or something... Something tame... But no... They're not nice to the newbie... They decide to take me to what I think is the biggest, fastest ride at the park... Well, except for Superman, but we never got on that one 'cause of the two hour line.

So yeah... I'm on the ride, freaking out, and we start our climb... Click... click... click... I'm way freaked at this point. I keep expecting us to go down, but no... O.o Click... click... click... The only thing higher up in the sky is superman... and just barely... click... click... cl- FALL...

>.O Yeah... Wow... Way freaky ride... I was fine after that initial fall, but that fall was... >.<

Once I got off I was a bit shakey. Like, grabbing onto a post so I won't fall over, shakey. But I really enjoyed the ride. ^.^ I surprised myself by how much I liked the ride. ^.^

And after that, no ride was safe! I was a coaster junky! >.<

So yeah, after that I had a lot more fun. ^.^ I think my favorites were Viper, Deja Vu and Tatsu. ^.^ Viper was just cool. Loved it. It was my first favorite ride. Deja Vu was freaky. O.o That first bit where you're hanging there... waiting for it to start... *shudder* Scary, but extremely fun. ^.^ And Tatsu... I <3>Let's see... what else did we go on... The lines were really short (less than a 30 min wait for all but like two of them), so we got onto about 15 rides. ^.^

After Goliath, was Buccaneer. One of those swinging ship rides. Fun.

Next was Gear Works. One of those that you stand there while it spins and you can't move 'cause you're pressed against the wall. I enjoyed it. ^.^ And I didn't feel sick, so that was nice.

Batman. <3>Riddler was next. Standing up coaster. I expected... more... Dunno what exactly, just more. I thought a standing coaster would be different, and it wasn't as much as I thought. *shrug* Still cool though.

Lunch. ^.~ My favorite ride yet.

Viper. Yes... viper after lunch... but we all held our own.

Ninja. ... I was way expecting more with this one. With a name like "Ninja!" I was expecting something more... But apparently it's 30 yrs old, so I'll let it be... Fun, just wanted more.

Gold Rusher. Lol. Cute little kiddie ride. ^.^ But I was pleasantly surprised.

Deja vu. Probably the longest ride of the day... A little over an hour... But I loved the ride! ^.^ It felt like the fastest ride. Don't know if it was, but it sure felt like it.

Colossus. Good ol wooden coaster. Noisy though... Fun, but way noisy...

Scream. Again, like Ninja, I was expecting more. Especially with this one, with all the pictures of screaming faces, I was expecting more...

Goliath again. ^.^ I wanted to see if was really as bad as I thought at first... It was. ^.^ Still fun, and maybe not quite as bad... but still pretty. ^.^

Orient express. Don't know if I should count this as a ride since it was really only a tram... but here it be.

Tatsu. ^.^ So worth the wait... (4o-45 mins) Awesomeness beyong awesomeness. ^.^ Fei-chan likey!!

So... yeah. ^.^ I have more pics, but I'm too lazy to put them here... Not to lazy to write all this, but too lazy to put pics.

------------------------
Oh, and random thing. I went to the dentist last week too (don't you love how I don't post until a few days after?... Been meaning to fix that, but life's been hectic. >.O). The visit actually went really well. ^.^ I'm very happy with the dentist I picked. ^.^

Thanks for the memories

o.O

That's it...

I'm done... O.o

Me... Done!...

GACK!!! O.o;;;;

Odd sensation really... It really set in when I got my cap and gown yesterday. Before that it was, ok yeah. I'm finally graduating. But once I had my cap and gown in my hand... O.o That's when it really hit me. >.<

It's very much a "now what?" feeling. Now what am I supposed to do with my life?? All I know how to do is be a student... And yeah, I'm not done done, I sill have a lot of schooling to do... haza... But I've gotton this much done. And I'm not going back to school in the fall. O.o;

GACK!!!! >.<

Oh, and when I got into the car after my last class I turned on the radio and they were playing Fall Out Boy: Thanks for the memories... Thought that was very appropriate of them. Kinda creepy, but appropriate.

He is mindful/poridge

Well, this thoght has been on my mind for the last few days, and was brought to the forground of my mind by Scmetter's last post.

God is truely mindful of us. I mean, like really mindful.

I've been going through a lot of stress lately from various stuff that's been going on. Nothing major, just life stuffs. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. As soon as I got one thing kinda under control, something else would sneak up and attack me from behind. >.O Not fun... I wasn't happy, I wasn't myself, and I didn't like it. >.<

So I did a lot of praying. For example, I mentioned in my last post about how I have a tooth ache and need to go to the dentist. Well, I haven't gone to the dentist in a while... I had no idea where to go. All I had was a list of names. Now picking a name from out of a hat didn't fill me with the greatest confidance. >.O In fact, it made me what the lamans call a "basket case." So, I tried asking around; people I knew, one person who I know is going through the whole braces thing, etc...

Nothing... Zip. Nadda.. Zilch...

Greaaaat.

Again, lots and lots of prayer. So I decided to go through my list and look at a few of their websites, see if anything looked good. One looked ok, but its only been there for a couple years... I'd like one that's stood the test of time a little more... Too cold.

The next one looked very... cute. I'm all for a happy atmosphere, but when your website has a bright yellow ball, bouncing in the corner, and the website is still saying "Happy Holidays!"...? Yeah... To hot.

Finally, the last bowl of poridge. ^.^; No bouncing ball, that's a plus. No "Happy Holidays," always a plus when it's 95 F outside. And hey, the guy's been practicing for 11 years! We might just have something here! Plus, whenever I looked at the guy's picture on the internet I got a really calm feeling. It wasn't "Oh noes! The evil drill!!" It was more "He will take away my pain." So that was really nice. Ah... Just right. ^.^

So yeah... I went there yesterday so he could poke around my mouth and figure out what's wrong. I got a really good vibe off the place. Really open, well lit, art work on the wall, music... Really nice. Plus there was a lady there with her kids who's apparently been going there for a while. Long enough for the receptionist to comment on how the kids have grown so fast. So that was awesome. ^.^ Always a good vibe when a mom is repead business when her kids are involved. And the kids didn't seem scared either, which was awesome. The youngest was, but I heard him dealing with her, and he was very gentle and understanding. ^.^; *phew*

So, moral of my poridge dentist. Prayer works!!

So yeah... That whole thing was a mess and a half. >.O But with a lot of prayer and help, I got through it. ^.^ And that's been how my life has gone lately. Lots of little messes, lots of little stresses, but Heavenly Father has been there with me. No "My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me" stuff.

And I know Heavenly Father's been helping me through all this. He's truly mindful of me. It's not just "Oh, Fei-chan's stressing again... Send her some duct tape or something..." ('cause you know, duct tape fixes all. ^.~) But he sends me exactly what I need. He knows every little intricacy of all of my stresses and problems, and he knows how to fix them. ^.^ He sends comfort when you need it most. He will not leave you alone.

And what's even more amazing, is that He does this for everyone... Now, just knowing my personal little struggles is amazing enough. But he knows all the little intricacies of every one's problems... And he's equally willing to give all of us comfort and solace. And he knows exactly how because of how well he knows us.

Wow man... wow...

Dentists and stuff

I hate this... I have lots of random thoughts, but none that seem relevent enough to post about... It's like starting a new conversation with someone that you've only recently been introduced to...

Hi.

Hi.

How're you?

Good, how're you?

Good.

...

And then what? You could comment on their shoes, their shirt... Oh look! They're breathing! Let's comment on that! Hey! I breath too!! How 'bout that!!1

Riiiiiight...

*sigh* Yeah, I haven't quite figured out this blog thing... I plan to... Some time when stress isn't my constant companion. >.O;

Although that should get better. ^.^; School's almost over and I have an appointment at the dentist... Oh? Did I not mention that? Yeah... I've had a tooth ache for about a month now... Yes, a month... I have a rather large fear of dentists, specifically that drill... >.<>... ^.^;

Although it did get me thinking about repentance. We do something wrong, we feel pain, and we eventually either ignore the pain and it gets worse or we get fed up with it and fix it.

I've been trying to ignore the pain 'cause I don't want to go through the bother of fixing it, but eventually I changed. ^.^ We all have to eventually fix what's wrong, it's just a matter of when...

Anywho, those be my thoughts for the day. *waves* Ja!
