On chocolate

I wonder if chocolate would catch on in today's world? We all (ok, most) love the stuff. But only because we know what it is...

I was at a health food store with my mom drooling over the seaweed and spinich pasta and thinking how sad it is that "normal" people don't know what wonderful food possibilities they're missing. I've grown up in a home where when mom gives you something you don't recognize, you eat first, ask questions later. That's just how life was.

I saw some chocolate syrup and that got me thinking about chocolate.

Chocolate is roughly a toasted bean thing with sugar and milk. Now that doesn't sound good to me. "New and Improved! Roasted bean paste with milk!" ... yum?... But then you taste it... Chocolate. Yum. ^.^

So yeah... It's odd what things catch on, and what things don't.

(I was also thinking how gimmicky phones are now... A phone... with games and music? It's an odd world we live in)
