Magic Mountain!! >.<

Ok, I think I told all of you, I went to Magic Mountain for the first time in my life last Saturday. ^.^

Yes, first time... *waits for laughter and shock to fade* I didn't think I was a fan of huge rides, and each time I had the opportunity, I didn't take it for one reason or another. *shrug*

But anyway, I went and absolutely loved it!! >.<

So, Magic Mountain... Known the world over for its fast rides... And my first experience is a ferris wheel... Dare to be different! ^.~

While we were on the ferris wheel, I noticed a white coaster next to us. It had a small loop in it, but it looked fairly tame. So I asked about it and figured that that would be a good way to see if I liked all this or not.

That ride was "The Revolution." Very fun. ^.^ My first loop, and apparently the first looping coaster ever built (according to the map). So I thought that was interesting.

So after that I was ready for another. "Ok," I thought, "that was fun. Now I'm ready for something a litt more. Not too big, but a little bit." ... Well, the group decided where we were going, and not knowing names, maybe Goliath means something to you, but it didn't to me, I followed along. So I'm looking around and I see this.

Well, this is a picture from the parking lot, but you get the idea... So I saw the big one. Not the wooden white one with all the support beams, and not the tall skinny thing. The big, tall, up, down, sideways, 255 foot first drop into a 120-foot underground tunnel at 85mph one... That one...

So I'm looking at it, and I think. "Wow... That's big. I don't think I wanna go on that one quite yet, if ever. Hm... I think I'll ask *** what the name of that one is so we can avoid it."

So I asked...

"Oh, that's Goliath. That's where we're going next."

O.o;

Shoot me now... >.O

So somehow, they managed to get me on Goliath... Still not quite sure how... I was majorly freaked... Keep in mind, I've never been on anything like this. I'm just barely getting used to the fact that I'm at MM... I'm hoping to go on Bugs Bunny World or something... Something tame... But no... They're not nice to the newbie... They decide to take me to what I think is the biggest, fastest ride at the park... Well, except for Superman, but we never got on that one 'cause of the two hour line.

So yeah... I'm on the ride, freaking out, and we start our climb... Click... click... click... I'm way freaked at this point. I keep expecting us to go down, but no... O.o Click... click... click... The only thing higher up in the sky is superman... and just barely... click... click... cl- FALL...

>.O Yeah... Wow... Way freaky ride... I was fine after that initial fall, but that fall was... >.<

Once I got off I was a bit shakey. Like, grabbing onto a post so I won't fall over, shakey. But I really enjoyed the ride. ^.^ I surprised myself by how much I liked the ride. ^.^

And after that, no ride was safe! I was a coaster junky! >.<

So yeah, after that I had a lot more fun. ^.^ I think my favorites were Viper, Deja Vu and Tatsu. ^.^ Viper was just cool. Loved it. It was my first favorite ride. Deja Vu was freaky. O.o That first bit where you're hanging there... waiting for it to start... *shudder* Scary, but extremely fun. ^.^ And Tatsu... I <3>Let's see... what else did we go on... The lines were really short (less than a 30 min wait for all but like two of them), so we got onto about 15 rides. ^.^

After Goliath, was Buccaneer. One of those swinging ship rides. Fun.

Next was Gear Works. One of those that you stand there while it spins and you can't move 'cause you're pressed against the wall. I enjoyed it. ^.^ And I didn't feel sick, so that was nice.

Batman. <3>Riddler was next. Standing up coaster. I expected... more... Dunno what exactly, just more. I thought a standing coaster would be different, and it wasn't as much as I thought. *shrug* Still cool though.

Lunch. ^.~ My favorite ride yet.

Viper. Yes... viper after lunch... but we all held our own.

Ninja. ... I was way expecting more with this one. With a name like "Ninja!" I was expecting something more... But apparently it's 30 yrs old, so I'll let it be... Fun, just wanted more.

Gold Rusher. Lol. Cute little kiddie ride. ^.^ But I was pleasantly surprised.

Deja vu. Probably the longest ride of the day... A little over an hour... But I loved the ride! ^.^ It felt like the fastest ride. Don't know if it was, but it sure felt like it.

Colossus. Good ol wooden coaster. Noisy though... Fun, but way noisy...

Scream. Again, like Ninja, I was expecting more. Especially with this one, with all the pictures of screaming faces, I was expecting more...

Goliath again. ^.^ I wanted to see if was really as bad as I thought at first... It was. ^.^ Still fun, and maybe not quite as bad... but still pretty. ^.^

Orient express. Don't know if I should count this as a ride since it was really only a tram... but here it be.

Tatsu. ^.^ So worth the wait... (4o-45 mins) Awesomeness beyong awesomeness. ^.^ Fei-chan likey!!

So... yeah. ^.^ I have more pics, but I'm too lazy to put them here... Not to lazy to write all this, but too lazy to put pics.

Oh, and random thing. I went to the dentist last week too (don't you love how I don't post until a few days after?... Been meaning to fix that, but life's been hectic. >.O). The visit actually went really well. ^.^ I'm very happy with the dentist I picked. ^.^

Tatsu is pretty fun; I was impressed. Viper's total classic. I think Deja Vu is my current favorite, though. But you're right--that just hanging there, facing the ground thing at the beginning is freaking nerve wracking!

Ninja used to be a feet-dangling ride like Batman, but they changed it after they built Batman so Batman could be special. I bet Ninja was a lot more fun way back when.

Yeah, I loved Tatsu. ^.^ And yeah, that hanging... >.< Fun, but yeah, like you said, nerve wracking!

Really? Well that's poohy... I wish I'd gone on Ninja when it was still dangly... I think I would have liked it more then. But that's cool that they wanted to showcase Batman. I loved that ride, it was just too short.

Never been. Is that a bad thing?? I'm apparently theme park deprived . . .

Really? Wow... Well, good to know that I wasn't the only one who's never gone.

I highly recomend it! ^.^
